Gold and Silver Prices Hit New Record Highs

On Friday, December 26, 2025 (Poush 11), gold and silver prices in the Nepali market rose again, setting new all-time records. Gold increased by NPR 1,800 per tola to trade at NPR 269,300 per tola, the highest level recorded so far. According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Association, this price surpassed the previous record set on December 24 (Poush 9). On Thursday, gold had declined to NPR 267,500 per tola. Similarly, silver prices climbed by NPR 165 per tola on Friday to reach a new record of NPR 4,565 per tola, breaking the earlier high of Poush 9. Silver had traded at NPR 4,400 per tola in Thursday’s market.
