Fluctuations in the international bullion market have directly impacted the Nepali market, leading to an increase in the prices of both gold and silver today. Compared to Wednesday, both precious metals have become more expensive in the domestic market.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold has increased by Rs. 700 per tola, reaching Rs. 243,000 per tola today. Similarly, the price of silver has risen by Rs. 35 per tola, setting its rate at Rs. 3,185 per tola.
International media report that gold is currently trading at USD 4,075 per ounce in the global market. This upward movement in global prices has had a direct influence on the Nepali bullion market as well.
Experts note that such volatility in the bullion market is largely driven by global economic conditions, currency fluctuations, changes in monetary policies of major economies like the U.S., and ongoing geopolitical tensions.
