New Securities Worth Rs 16.33 Billion Listed on Nepal Stock Exchange

In the first six months of the current fiscal year, new securities worth Rs 16.33 billion have been listed on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE). According to Nepal Rastra Bank, by the end of Poush, the total market capitalization of Nepal's securities market had reached Rs 4.302 trillion, reflecting an increase of Rs 972.13 billion compared to the previous year. The NEPSE index has also surged significantly, reaching 2,594.13 points.

During this period, Rs 7.17 billion worth of bonus shares, Rs 3.91 billion rights shares, Rs 1.25 billion mutual funds, Rs 398 million FPOs, and Rs 3.96 billion other shares have been listed. Currently, 267 companies are listed on NEPSE, with banks, financial institutions, and insurance companies contributing 54.2% of the market. The growth in the stock market has boosted investor confidence.
