Share Trader Dipendra Agrawal on Hunger Strike Inside Police Custody, Health Deteriorating

Share market investor Dipendra Agrawal, who has been taken into police custody on allegations of irregularities in share trading, has been on an indefinite hunger strike inside custody. He has been observing the hunger strike for the past four days, protesting what he claims to be injustice against him.
According to family sources, Agrawal was allowed to meet his family only after four days. The same sources report that his health condition has been steadily deteriorating due to the prolonged hunger strike.
Family members further stated that Agrawal has alleged that the Chairperson of the Securities Board of Nepal acted with deliberate intent and personal hostility against him, leading to his detention when he sought justice. He has also claimed that he was taken into custody for speaking out in favor of investors’ rights and raising issues related to corruption within the regulatory body.
When contacted regarding the matter, the police have not provided any official response so far.
