Reliance Finance Urges Shareholders to Claim Uncollected Dividends Within One Month, or Amount Will Be Deposited into Investor Protection Fund

Reliance Finance Limited has issued an urgent notice requesting shareholders with unclaimed cash dividends from previous fiscal years to contact the company within one month. The notice, published on Mangsir 9, 2082, states that remaining dividends from FY 2074/75 and FY 2075/76 must now be processed in accordance with the legal provisions of the Companies Act, 2063 and the Investor Protection Fund Operating Procedures, 2073.

According to the Act, the Investor Protection Fund has already been formally established, and as per Section 182(9) of the Act, companies are required to transfer unclaimed dividends to this fund. Therefore, Reliance Finance is obliged to deposit the uncollected dividends into the Investor Protection Fund after the given deadline.

The company has asked all shareholders concerned to visit its share registrar, Laxmi Sunrise Capital Limited, Kamalpokhari, Kathmandu, with the required documents within 30 days from the date of notice. Shareholders who fail to claim their dividends within this period will have their remaining amounts automatically transferred to the Investor Protection Fund, after which the dividend will not be payable directly by the company.

In addition, Reliance Finance has requested shareholders who have not yet dematerialized (Demat) their shares to complete the process immediately. The company has also urged shareholders to update their Permanent Account Number (PAN) details in the share records to avoid future complications.

The list of shareholders with unclaimed dividends has been published on the company’s official website: www.reliancenepal.com.np.

Reliance Finance noted that this notice serves as an important reminder to ensure compliance with the law and protect investors from losing their unclaimed dividend entitlements.
