काठमाडौं — संखुवासभाको पहाडी भूमिमा जन्मिएको नेपालकै पहिलो वाइन उद्योग मकालु वाइन इन्डस्ट्रीज लिमिटेड अब सर्वसाधारण लगानीकर्तासामु आउँदैछ। कम्पनीले आफ्नो जारी पूँजीको २० प्रतिशत बराबर १० लाख कित्ता सेयर प्रतिकित्ता १०० रुपैयाँ अंकित मूल्यमा निष्काशन गर्ने तयारी थालेको छ।
आईपीओ प्रक्रिया अगाडि बढाउन कम्पनीले रिलायबल इन्भेष्टमेन्ट एन्ड मर्चेन्ट क्यापिटल लिमिटेडलाई बिक्री प्रबन्धकको जिम्मेवारी दिएको छ। यससम्बन्धी सम्झौतामा कम्पनीका अध्यक्ष पिताम्बर पोख्रेल र रिलायबल इन्भेष्टमेन्टका प्रमुख कार्यकारी अधिकृत भिष्मराज चालिसेले हस्ताक्षर गरेका छन्।
वि.सं. २०५२ सालमा स्थापित यो कम्पनी संखुवासभाको धर्मदेवी नगरपालिकामा समुद्र सतहदेखि करिब दुई हजार आठ सय मिटर उचाइमा रहेको छ। कम्पनीले त्यहाँको प्राकृतिक मुहानको सफा पानी र चुत्रो तथा ऐँसेलुजस्ता स्थानीय जंगली फलबाट 'हिंवा वाइन' उत्पादन गर्दै आएको छ। कम्पनीसँग आफ्नै करिब २० रोपनी जग्गा छ।
कम्पनीमा देवश्री भेन्चर, हार्भेस्ट भेन्चर, विर्तामोड सञ्जिवनी इन्भेष्टमेन्ट र स्टक आइडियाज इन्भेष्टमेन्टलगायत संस्थागत लगानीकर्ताहरूको लगानी पहिलेदेखि नै छ। कम्पनीले आगामी दिनमा अंगुरबाट तयार हुने तीन प्रकारका प्रिमियम वाइन पनि बजारमा ल्याउने तयारी गरिरहेको जनाएको छ।
पहाडको जंगलबाट टिपिएका फलबाट बनेको अर्गानिक वाइन अहिलेसम्म सीमित वृत्तमा मात्र चिनिएको थियो। यो आईपीओले पहिलो पटक नेपालको वाइन उद्योगलाई पूँजी बजारसँग जोड्ने काम गर्नेछ र सर्वसाधारण लगानीकर्तालाई यस उद्योगको हिस्सेदार बन्ने अवसर दिनेछ।
Kathmandu — Makalu Wine Industries Limited, widely recognized as Nepal's first wine producer, is preparing to open its doors to public investors. The company has initiated the process of floating one million shares at a face value of Rs 100 per share, representing 20 percent of its total issued capital.
Reliable Investment and Merchant Capital Limited has been appointed to manage the IPO issuance and sales process. The agreement was signed by Makalu Wine chairman Pitambar Pokhrel and Reliable Investment chief executive Bhishmraj Chalise.
Founded in 1995, the company is based in Dharmadev Municipality of Sankhuwasabha district at an altitude of approximately 2,800 metres above sea level. It produces organic wine under the brand name Hinwa Wine, using water from natural springs and wild fruits including jutilo and aiselu that grow in the surrounding forests. The company owns roughly 20 ropani of land.
Several institutional investors are already on board, including Devshree Venture, Harvest Venture, Birtamod Sanjivani Investment, and Stock Ideas Investment. The company has also announced plans to introduce three varieties of premium grape wine to the market in the near future.
Until now, this high-altitude organic wine has remained relatively unknown beyond a limited circle of consumers. The upcoming IPO marks the first time Nepal's wine industry will be linked to the capital market, giving ordinary investors a chance to become stakeholders in a business rooted in the country's forests and mountains.
