Appointment Booking for South Korea Visa in Nepal: Tips & Timings
For Nepali citizens planning to apply for a South Korean visa, securing an online appointment is the first and most crucial step. The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Kathmandu accepts all visa applications only through the official online appointment system at https://koreanembassynepal.org. Without a confirmed slot, visa applications will not be accepted, except for marriage-visa (F-6) applicants.
Appointment Timings and Access
Online booking opens every Monday and Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. Nepal Standard Time. If a public holiday falls on those days, booking opens on the next working day. Since the number of daily slots is limited, applicants are advised to log in promptly at 9:55 a.m. and complete the booking as soon as the system opens.
After successfully reserving a slot, applicants must visit the Embassy of Korea in Kathmandu between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. (Monday – Friday) for submission, while visa and passport collection is handled between 2:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Only Machine Readable Passports (MRP) are accepted, and the passport must have at least six months’ validity.

Book early – Slots fill up quickly within minutes of opening.
Use stable internet and a laptop – Mobile browsers may freeze during submission.
Prepare details in advance – Keep passport, personal details, and contact info ready.
Avoid multiple log-ins – Using different browsers or accounts simultaneously may cause cancellation.
Check your email – Appointment confirmation and instructions are sent immediately after booking.
Arrive early – Reach the embassy gate 15–20 minutes before your scheduled submission time.
Embassy Processing Time
The visa process generally takes around 21 working days. Applicants are strongly advised to apply at least three weeks before travel. Visa fees must be paid in cash directly at the embassy counter.
