Bali Travel Visa for Nepal Passport – Everything You Need to Know

For Nepali passport holders planning to visit Bali or Indonesia, it’s essential to understand that Visa on Arrival (VOA) is not available for citizens of Nepal. Therefore, you must apply for an Indonesia eVisa (C1 Tourist Visa) in advance before traveling. This visa allows Nepali citizens to stay in Indonesia, including Bali, for up to 60 days, and it can be extended twice, allowing a total stay of up to 180 days (six months). The visa is single entry, meaning once you leave Indonesia, you will need to reapply for a new visa if you wish to return.

The C1 Tourist Visa (also known as Visit Visa – 211A) is processed entirely online through the official Indonesian Immigration website https://evisa.imigrasi.go.id. The process begins with creating an account under the “Foreigner” category, verifying your email, and selecting the Tourist Visa option. Applicants must fill in accurate personal details exactly as stated in their passports and upload required documents. These include a passport valid for at least six months, a recent color photo, and a bank statement showing at least USD 2,000 (or equivalent NPR) in balance for the past three months. You may also need to upload flight itinerary, hotel booking confirmation, or invitation letter if you plan to stay with family or friends.

The visa fee is IDR 1,000,000 to 1,500,000 (approximately NPR 8,500 to 13,000), payable online using Visa or MasterCard. Once your application is complete and payment is made, the average processing time is five working days, though it may take longer if documents are incomplete. Upon approval, you will receive your eVisa in PDF format via email, which you should print and carry during your journey. The visa must be used within 90 days of issuance, otherwise it becomes invalid. When you arrive in Bali, immigration officials will check your passport and eVisa and grant entry for 60 days, which can later be extended locally.

This visa allows travelers to explore Indonesia for tourism, visit friends and family, or attend non-commercial events such as conventions and exhibitions. However, visa holders are strictly prohibited from engaging in employment, business, or profit-making activities. Violating these rules may result in fines, deportation, or travel bans. You can extend your visa through a local immigration office in Indonesia before the expiration date.
