How to Secure a Business Visa for South Korea from Nepal

For Nepali entrepreneurs and professionals aiming to explore business opportunities in South Korea, obtaining a Business Visa (C-3-4) is essential. The process is managed by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Kathmandu, and all applicants must first book an online appointment through https://koreanembassynepal.org. Appointment slots open every Monday and Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. (Nepal Time).

Visa applications are accepted Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., while passport collection takes place between 2:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. The entire visa process generally takes at least 21 working days, so early submission is highly recommended. Applicants must use a Machine-Readable Passport (MRP) valid for a minimum of six months.

To secure a Business Visa, the applicant must provide both Korean and Nepali company documents proving a genuine business relationship. The inviting Korean company must issue an official Invitation Letter, Guarantee Letter, and Business Registration Certificate, while the Nepali applicant must present their own company registration, PAN certificate, employment letter, and six-month bank statements for both company and personal accounts. Additionally, the applicant must include a detailed business itinerary, hotel reservation, and confirmed round-trip flight booking.

Documents older than three months are considered invalid, and all Nepali documents must be translated into English and notarized. Korean documents must be submitted in their original form. Submitting fake or invalid flight tickets or forged documents can result in an immediate visa refusal and a travel restriction of up to three years.

As of January 1, 2025, visa fees are collected in cash only at the embassy counter. The Business Visa (C-3-4) fee is NPR 5,400 for a single-entry visa valid up to 90 days. Longer or multiple-entry visas cost slightly more depending on the duration and entry type.

Even when all documents are complete, the Embassy of Korea reserves full discretion to approve, delay, or reject an application without explanation. Applicants are therefore advised to ensure authenticity and consistency in every submission.
