Malaysia e-Visa Terms and Conditions – Read Before You Apply

Before applying for a Malaysia e-Visa, every applicant — including Nepali citizens — must agree to the official Terms and Conditions set by the Immigration Department of Malaysia. These rules outline the rights, responsibilities, and restrictions that apply once you start your online visa application at https://malaysiavisa.imi.gov.my. Understanding these terms helps you avoid mistakes, delays, or visa cancellation.

Applicants are required to provide complete, accurate, and truthful information at all stages of the application. Submitting false or misleading documents may lead to rejection, cancellation of the visa, or even entry bans in the future. You must apply only through the official MYVISA portal — applications made through agents or unofficial sites are not recognized and may result in fraud or invalid visas.

Once submitted, an application can take 2 to 7 working days to process, excluding weekends, Malaysian public holidays, or other delays caused by incomplete information or verification requirements. The processing timeline is an estimate only, not a guarantee.

Having an approved e-Visa does not guarantee entry into Malaysia. Final entry permission rests with the Immigration Officer at the port of entry. The officer may deny entry if they believe your purpose of visit, documents, or financial status do not comply with visa conditions.

Each e-Visa has a specific validity period (often six months from the date of issue) and a limited duration of stay(commonly 30 days per visit). Applicants must enter Malaysia within the validity period and cannot stay beyond the allowed duration. Overstaying or violating visa conditions may result in fines, blacklisting, or deportation.

All fees paid for the e-Visa are non-refundable, even if the visa is rejected or cancelled. Applicants are therefore advised to double-check all details — including passport number, photo, flight itinerary, and accommodation — before making the payment. If your e-Visa is approved, any previously active Malaysian visa may automatically be cancelled.

Applicants are also prohibited from engaging in any illegal or unauthorized activities while in Malaysia, including employment, overstaying, or staying for purposes other than those declared in the application.
