Malaysia Single Entry Visa for Nepali – Tourist & Visit Purpose Explained

The Malaysia Single Entry Visa (SEV) is designed for Nepali citizens who plan to visit Malaysia once for tourism, leisure, or short-term personal visits. This visa type allows travelers to enter Malaysia only one time and stay for a maximum of 30 days, depending on the approval conditions set by the Immigration Department of Malaysia.
The SEV can be applied online through the official MYVISA portal https://malaysiavisa.imi.gov.my. The entire process is digital, quick, and reliable, making it convenient for Nepali travelers who wish to visit Malaysia for holidays, sightseeing, or visiting friends and relatives. The visa remains valid for 3 to 6 months from the date of issuance but can be used for only one entry.
To qualify for the Malaysia Single Entry Visa, applicants must hold a valid Nepali passport with at least six months of validity, have a confirmed return flight ticket, and proof of accommodation (hotel booking or invitation letter from a host in Malaysia). Travelers must also ensure they have sufficient funds to cover their stay.
Required Documents:
Passport biodata page (valid for at least 6 months)
Recent studio-taken photo (white background)
Confirmed return flight ticket
Hotel booking or proof of stay
Birth certificate (for minors)
Cover letter explaining travel purpose (tourism or visit)
Bank statement showing sufficient balance

e-Visa approval does not guarantee entry — the final decision is made by the immigration officer at the airport.
Always apply at least 14 days before departure to avoid processing delays.
