Top Documents Required for South Korea Visit by Nepali Citizens

Planning a visit to South Korea from Nepal requires careful preparation of documents, as the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Kathmandu strictly enforces its documentation policy. Whether you are applying for a tourist, business, student, or family visit visa, the same level of accuracy and authenticity applies. All applicants must first book an online appointment through https://koreanembassynepal.org before submission. Once the appointment is confirmed, documents are accepted Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and passports are collected between 2:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Applicants must provide original or notarized English-translated copies of all documents. Submitting incomplete, old, or fake documents can result in immediate rejection or a three-year visa ban. Below is the essential checklist for Nepali citizens applying for any South Korean visa category:

Essential Documents Checklist

  1. Valid Passport – Machine Readable Passport (MRP) valid for at least 6 months.

  2. Completed Visa Application Form – Correctly filled with glue-attached photo (not stapled).

  3. Visa Cover Letter – Clearly stating the purpose, itinerary, and sponsor.

  4. Round-Trip Flight Booking – Must contain valid booking reference and reservation code.

  5. Hotel Booking Confirmation – With full address and contact details.

  6. Personal Bank Statement (6 months) – From an A-class bank.

  7. Company Bank Statement (6 months) – If self-employed or business owner.

  8. PAN & Business Registration Certificates – Original and copy.

  9. Employment Certificate or Student Letter – Issued by employer or institution.

  10. Family Relationship or Marriage Certificate – For family or dependent visas.

  11. Invitation & Guarantee Letter (if applicable) – From the Korean host, company, or institution.

  12. Balance Certificate – Showing sufficient financial stability.

  13. Educational Certificates – Verified transcripts and degrees (for study visa).

  14. TB Medical Report – Only from designated hospitals: Patan Hospital, Civil Service Hospital, Korea-Nepal Friendship Hospital (Thimi), or Sukraraj Hospital (Teku).

  15. Asset Evaluation Certificate – Certified by a chartered accountant with proof.

All Nepali documents must be translated into English and notarized by an authorized notary public, while Korean-issued documents must be submitted in their original form and issued within the last three months.

Submitting fake air tickets, incomplete financial statements, or forged certificates can result in a visa denial and travel ban. Applicants are therefore strongly advised to prepare accurate, updated, and verifiable documentation before visiting the Embassy.

ABC Securities Investor Pro Meet 2082 Concludes Successfully in Birgunj The ABC Securities Investor Pro Meet 2082, organized under the financial literacy campaign of ABC Securities, was successfully held in Birgunj with strong participation from investors, market experts, and business leaders. The one-day program included share market training, panel discussions, and interactive sessions aimed at improving investors’ understanding of Nepal’s capital market. According to the organizers, the main objective of the event was to strengthen investors’ knowledge, skills, and confidence so that they can make informed and responsible investment decisions. The program reflected the growing demand for structured and practical market education among Nepalese investors. In recent years, participation in the stock market has increased rapidly, especially among young and first-time investors. However, many of them still lack proper understanding of market risks, technical analysis, and long-term investment planning. By organizing such events, ABC Securities is attempting to bridge this knowledge gap and promote disciplined investment behavior.
